BUBBLE SOCCER RULES

Please note, while competitiveness is not discouraged, it should be remembered that novice players need some encouragement and we do not support a "win at all costs" philosophy. All rules are open to the interpretation of the Referee and their decision is final.

  1. TEAMS
    1. Teams are comprised of 6
    2. Substitutions may be made throughout the game
    3. No studded footwear is permitted
  2. UNIFORMS
    1. Players will be provided matching uniforms
    2. Players must wear appropriate closed-toe footwear
    3. Players must wear appropriate sports clothing
    4. Players may not wear jewelry or glasses onto the field. Irremovable jewelry must
    5. be covered
    6. Players who require glasses must accept the full responsibility for any injury or
    7. damage suffered due to the wearing of glasses
  3. THE GAME
    1. Kick-Off – The ball will be placed in the center of the field, and teams line up along their goal line. When the whistle blows, teams may run to the ball for possession. This will occur every time a goal is scored.
    2. Kick Ins – All kick-ins from the sideline must be kicked in by the opposite team that kicked it out. The kicker must have both feet behind the sideline when the ball is rolled. There must be a gap of 5 meters from where the ball is kicked in
    3. Corners will be played as per normal
    4. A foul kick will result in a free kick to the opposition.
    5. There is no designated Goal Keeper. If you wish to have one of your team
    6. members stay in front of the goals, this is acceptable.
    7. Free Kicks – Free kicks are given at the discretion of the referee. If players are
    8. playing in an overly aggressive manner then a free kick will be awarded to the
    9. opposing team.
    10. If a free kick is awarded, the opposition must be 5 meters away from where the
    11. kick is being taken.
    12. Offside – No offside laws will be applied in this competition. ·∙ Balls in Bubbles – If
    13. the ball lands in a bubble, play will stop and the ball retrieved. The referee will then conduct a ‘drop ball’ with one member from each team.
  4. TIMING AND WINNING A GAME/MATCH
    1. 20 minute halves
    2. In the event of a draw in the finals, teams must select one player each to battle
    3. in a one on one, golden goal play off.
  5. THE ENFORCEMENT
    1. The Referee’s decision is final. No objections.
